Xbox and PS3 Game Darksiders Becoming a Movie?

The gamer site vg247 has been talking to Vigil creative director and comicbook legend Joe Madureira about the recent Xbox and PS3 release Darksiders.  Madureira who was vocal about the fact that all possible opportunities were being explored went on to say.

“We’ve gotten some interest from Hollywood, we’ve talked about doing a comic series,
…At least a couple of those things have to happen, I’m sure.”

Darksiders is a post-apocalyptic action title in which the player takes on the role of War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Framed by the forces of evil for prematurely bringing about the end of mankind, War stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. The player must guide war through a devastated Earth and solve the mystery of a mistakenly triggered apocalypse in order to clear his name.

The new title which was already getting rave reviews ahead of its January 5th release date would make a spectacular movie. But being realistic, having “interest from Hollywood” isn’t exactly a firm proposal, but it’s still an exciting one nevertheless.
