Trailer released for upcoming movie ’4:44 Last Day on Earth’
Abel ferrara’s artistic vision of mans last moments on the planet will see a limited release to theatres across the US on March 23. The movie which has already done the rounds on the festival circuit will chart the final days of mans existence through the eyes of the films two main characters Cisco (Willem Dafoe) and Skye (Shanyn Leigh.)
“At 4:44AM tomorrow morning, there will be no survivors. The world will end.”
That’s the tag line for the movie which pretty much sums up the premise of the film as does the rather short official summary,
“a look at what would happen if everyone knew the world was ending.”
This ambitious relatively low budget movie could be an interesting watch, on paper it sounds quite similar to the excellent Canadian movie Last Night, which also followed various characters as they came to terms with the worlds end.

Wow, looks nicely “indie” with a strong cast. I was mesmerized by the soundtrack too — was that Tom Waits? Let’s hope so! No one knows evangelical apocalypse like Tom!
