Terminator Salvation

The 4th movie in the Terminator series is set to exceed the box office success of its predecessor T3 which was a disappointment to most fans of the original and it’s sequel.
Set in 2018 some years after Skynet has destroyed most of human civilisation, in the ruins of what remains John Connor (Christian Bale) leads a rag tag band of soldiers in a bid to bring down Skynet and restore human power to the planet.
Excitement has been brewing for quite some months with the production team’s early release of some rather pleasing eye candy in the run up to the films release, including some stills from the movie as well as a few teaser trailers.
Judging from the trailers and the interviews given by the production team and stars of the movie including Bale; the special effects are going to be “out of this world.” Bale himself was very enthusiastic about the release in a recent interview.
For die hard fans of the original it’s been a biter pill to swallow that Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be reprising his role in this the fourth instalment of the franchise, he may have a small cameo role so maybe this will be enough to appease the fanboys.
McG the director of Terminator Salvation hopes to take the franchise in a new and dare I say exciting direction and although it will follow the same story arc set by its predecessors being both sequel and prequel, the look and feel of the movie will be something apart.
McG’s credentials in writing and film are worthy but his experience in directing big blockbuster sci-fi is lacking so it’ll be interesting to see if his approach pays off. One things for sure Terminator fans are a plenty and are ready for this, it’s been a long wait..
He should stop quit being a politician and go back to being an actor.
