With the release date approaching for the upcoming release of Mel’s political Thriller Edge of Darkness, he’s been doing the rounds promoting the film and we’ve nabbed one of his video interviews for you. (See below) Edge of Darkness is a remake of one of the BBC’s most celebrated TV miniseries from the 1980’s. In which a policeman investigating the murder of his daughter uncovers a political conspiracy, eventually unveiling a mystery the consequences of which could affect the fate of the entire planet. It’s still unknown how faithful this remake will be to the original, which was one of the most spectacular apocalyptic thrillers that I’ve ever seen. However it won’t be long till we find out as the release date for the movie is January 29th. Also it’s worth noting that this is Mel’s first movie appearance in over seven years, but judging from this interview he had no problem adapting to the role. You can find more information on the original TV series on Amazon here: Edge of Darkness: The Complete BBC Series Mel Gibson Interview – Edge of Darkness
