Our Writers
The content on this site is produced by devoted fans of apocalyptic and post apocalyptic TV, Movies and Fiction. Some of our writers had previously little to no writing experience before joining our team but had an eagerness to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for all things apocalyptic. Here you can get to know a little bit more about them and find their contact details.
We’re always on the lookout for new writers and content for the site, particularly bloggers but also enthusiastic fans of the genre. If you are interested in joining our team and writing for Apocalypticmovies.com then please contact us

I initially created this site as a place I could share some of the apocalyptic themed movies I’d seen, however after getting many suggestions for films from visitors, I soon realised that it would be pretty cool if others could also add and review some of the films they’d seen and so the Apocalyptic Movie Index was born. It’s far from a definitive collection but it is still steadily growing with the help of the many fans out there.
With time and growing confidence in my writing abilities I started to expand the site to what it is today, however with increasing family and work commitments, I have much less time for indulging in my passions but I’m looking forward to contributing much more to the site in the future.
Some of My Favorite movies: Akira, 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead (both the original and remake) Aliens, Deep Impact, Matrix
Favorite TV shows: The Walking Dead, Survivors, The 4400, The Outer Limits.

Rob Lund (Electrolund) – Assistant Editor
I’ve always been a sucker for end-of-the-world stories. I’ll give my eschatology-obsessed religious upbringing the credit. But the credit for feeding my addiction with Romero films like so much zombie brains goes solely to me.
Since I was a little kid, I also had this weird fascination with imagining myself as the last person on earth. I suppose the easier psychoanalysis would be an introverted bias; a socially awkward kid who shunned groups. But I choose to see myself as character Robert Neville, instead of scrawny Rob Lund, looking for other survivors of the mass plague, who with me will reforge a new society from the ashes of the past.
Perhaps my macabre fascination with dystopia is borne out of a fear of ecological collapse. This is certainly a common theme in many apocalyptic films. Whatever the reasons for my curiosity — man-made toxins, judgments from God, over-industrialization, viral outbreaks — it’s all about the fantasy. Call me glass-half-empty, but I love the fear of the end.
So let’s watch some movies, huh?
