The opening sequence to this TV mini series was absolutely breathtaking, as 100s of Spaceships descend into the Earths atmosphere and eventually settle above all the major cities around the globe.

 

After much fear and speculation around the world, the first contact with the aliens who look human and act compassionately was of great relief to all. The aliens promised to share their technology in return for help. Many were overjoyed with the arrival of the new “visitors,” however some began to suspect that the alien’s true intentions towards Earth may be much more sinister than first believed. Before long society is gripped by a new fascist like rule as the aliens slowly begin to take control. A group of resistance fighters become mankind’s last hope as they fight to expose the alien’s true identity.

 

If you are thinking of watching this series this is the correct order to watch them as it can be confusing:

 

V - The Mini Series

V - The final Battle

V - The complete Series

 

Each one of the above series starts off where the last one finished, many have mistakenly bought "the complete series" expecting this to be the complete set which it isn't, it's just the full 19 episodes of the 1984 (2nd) series.
