A mysterious”incident” temporarily removes all the oxygen from the earth’s surface.  Three divers survive to find everyone dead.  This “two is company; three is crowding” film soon pits the guys fighting over “The Last Woman on Earth”.  Ev (Evelyn Gern)  might be considered a bit of a cougar by today’s standard.  Harold Gern is a greedy, cunning and ruthless business man on step in front of the Justice Department.  Martin, is Harold’s lawyer, trying to straighten things out for Harold.
Coming up from a scuba outing, Ev, Martin and Harold find the boat captain dead.  They keep their masks on after having trouble breathing.  Eventually the plants generate enough oxygen for a return to “normal”.

Setting up house away from town quickly turns into trouble.  Martin just wants to escape with Ev and live out the rest of mankind’s existence.  Ev has thoughts of repopulating the world.  Harold, the practical one realizes that his wife Ev is the object of Martin’s desire.
Chase scene, car crash, more chase scene.  Finale.

Review:
I spotted this low budget film in the public domain listing of archive.org.

While it is not a stinker, I would not have any desire to watch it again.

The real plot revolves around one point.  Who do you want in a post apocalyptic scenario?  A care free dreamer or a practical, no nonsense survivor.

Watch it online on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
