Set in the future after Skynet has destroyed most of human civilisation, this the fourth instalment of the Terminator franchise sees Christian Bale take on the role of the human resistance leader John Connor.

 

In 2003, Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) is sentenced to death and on the eve of his execution donates his body to science. Fifteen years later, while John Connor (Christian Bale) fights bravely against the machines, Marcus Wright reappears in a now devastated Los Angeles. Unable to remember his past, fate leads him to the leader of the human resistance, John.  Johns desire to destroy Skynet and Marcus’ quest for information about his past leads them both into the heart of Skynet, where they battle against the machines to help protect the future of mankind.
