Seksmisja is a Polish sc-fi post-apocalyptic comedy classic.

 

When two scientists put themselves forward for a hibernation experiment they get more than they bargain for. They wake up to find that not only has 50 years passed, the surface of the Earth has all but been destroyed by world war 3 and a society of all females has flourished underground. Now the only two living males on the planet, they become both an object of fear and curiosity which leads to them attempting to escape. With the all female security team in hot pursuit they try to evade capture and eventually flee the underground society to discover that maybe things are not as they’ve been told.

This is a hilarious Polish comedy; there is some nudity but nothing over the top. And to say it’s quite an old film it’s still enjoyable to watch even today. People say Polish humour is something only the Poles appreciate but I totally disagree with that, this is one of many Polish movies that I literally laughed all the way through. It’s probably also one of Poland’s best sci-fi movies of that decade.
