The fourth installment in the resident evil series, And takes place not long after resident evil 3, extinction, ended.  The world is still infested with flesh eating zombies (their condition brought on by the deadly T-virus).  After Superhuman (and infected)former umbrella corporation worker Alice takes down umbrella headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, she is forced an injection that sterilizes her inhuman powers, and makes her normal (for Alice) again.  She then goes on a mission to find Arcadia- an isolated Alaskan island rumored to be infection free - and survivors, like herself.

 

Review:

personally I thought the special effects on this movie were a little over the top.  I gave it an extra star because I'm a huge fan of the series (like, seen every movie at least 6 times fan).  But it's still a great movie to see, though with the ending, I'm not sure what the director expects of the boat passengers for the upcoming fifth film (oops, did I just spoil a little bit of the ending?)
