A young boy Quinn discovers a hidden under ground cave whilst visiting his mother who’s working on the tunnelling of the London underground. Inside a fire breathing creature that has been buried for millennia is awoken and disaster ensues.

 

Years later the Earth is now a wasteland of steaming ash as the creatures have bred in their thousands burning down cities like swarms of locusts. Only rag tag groups of people have survived in reinforced settlements.  Quinn (Christian bale) is now the leader of a group of refugees and orphans that are protected in the ruins of an old castle. Quinn believes their only hope of a future is to outlast the dragons by evasion and stealth. However a group of American soldiers arrive on the scene lead by Denton Van Zan (Mathew McConaughey) who believe the survival of mankind is only assured if the dragons are defeated and driven to extinction. Tension rises between the two camps until they all come to realize that only one species is getting through this alive.

 

This is a truly explosive sci-fi action movie that has a very unique story line and realistic special effects that will have you on the edge of your seat!
