Set in the 1980’s, when the cold has reached breaking point. The story opens with soviet forces parachuting into an American town as teenagers in a local school watch in terror. A small group of the teens escape into the mountains and mount an offensive against the invaders, stealing weapons and supplies as they build their isolated camp. However when their rebellious antics come to the attention of a soviet general all out guerrilla warfare ensues, and things quickly turn into a deadly confrontation with the enemy.

Preying on the 80’s cold war paranoia, I’m sure this film put the fear of death into many teenagers back then. It’s also got a great cast and an engaging story line and is still just as watchable today.
