This is an up to date movie adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic and posthumously acclaimed three part novel of the same name.

 

The movie strays somewhat from Shelley’s original text, as the site of the story is now North America and the Plague has been replaced by a deadly strain of the small pox virus, which is released after being stolen from a lab and ultimately causes a subsequent global pandemic.

 

Another film I haven't gotten around to actually seeing, so beware the rating. People I've talked to liked it and it sounds good.
