The world is coming to an end. Everyone on earth knows that the world is ending and everyone chooses to live their last hours and minutes on earth a different way. This is a fantastic apocalyptic movie. It was written, directed and stars Don McKellar and is by far the best Canadian PA film and even one of the greatest Canadian films ever made. It is unlike many other apocalyptic films because there are no zombies or comets and even huge special effects; it just follows the last hours of people’s lives on earth. It is really hard to classify this film into a category because you never find out why the world is ending so I selected PA but it is more appropriate to select humanity or something like that.

0 #1 Shaun 2009-07-20 20:15 This is a great movie not seen it in a long while though, I think post-apocalyptic will do category wise seen as it's as close to it as it's going to get. I can't remember what the impending disaster was or even if it was ever told. Not that it matters because this is a movie about people and humanity coming to terms with the end of all life on the planet and it's handled very well indeed, there are also some really good acting performances from what I remember and the ending is quite shocking and maybe a little depressing. It is a great movie. Quote

0 #3 Shaun 2009-07-20 20:44 Ah ok, I think I might watch it again over the coming week, the ending is something I'll never forget though. It's one of those movies that stays with you a while after. Quote
