After a series of nuclear attacks The United States is thrown into chaos and confusion leading to the destruction of the government and a population that has to fend for themselves. Just before the attacks took place Jake Green (Skeet Ulrich) returned to his small home town in Kansas. After seeing the terrifying mushroom clouds rise in the distance, the town becomes cut off and completely isolated. Jake must now help his family and the rest of the community pick up the pieces whilst protecting their land and resources from neighbouring towns and rogue military units who have now become the biggest threat to their survival.
Jericho was a highly underrated CBS show that was initially cancelled after the first season due to low viewing figures, however it later returned for a second and final season after a large number of dedicated fans waged an unprecedented and successful campaign for its return.

Bad acting, HORRIBLE writing, bad direction, just not a good show.
Think of this as "Lost for Dummies" Quote
Also this seems to be a very low budget series, I think they accomplished a good work with such a small budget. Quote
As far as the budget goes, part of the reason CBS was so eager to drop it was the cost to produce it. There were a lot of explosions and cars being blown up, etc. It cost more than your average show.
Part of the reason the writing sucked was that they were looking to end the show and appease the die hard fans at the same time.
This show inspired what I understand to be the largest fan uprising in history to the end of saving a TV show. So definitely not 'Lost for Dummies'
So to Mitur… NUTS!
When CBS made the decision to pull the plug after the first season, fans pulled together and sent literally thousands of pounds of nuts to the studios in an attempt to convince the network to continuing airing the show. I think that had they not pulled the plug after season one, the show could have been much more successful. However, Terry is right. They continued it for a second season just to please very persistent fans while at the same time trying to rush through to an at least somewhat satisfying end for the series.
The fact that such a strong cult following was able to come together and successfully protest the cancellation says a lot about the show's impact and so-called "bad acting, horrible writing, and bad direction." I think at the very least the first season is well worth watching. The second season unfortunately suffered as a result of bad decision making by the higher ups, but still a good watch. Quote
i thought the acting was pretty good but 2 bad it ending when it did, i'm sure if it continued more viewers would start to watch it.
so i got one word for Mitur "Nuts." Quote
