In the not so distant future crime rates in New York City force the corrupt government to turn the city into the nations maximum security prison leaving the inmates to fend for themselves in this broken down wasteland. Luck for these exiled criminals is about to change when Air Force 1 crash lands behind the walls of the city. By the time the military's response team enters the city it is too late, the president is taken hostage and the demand is the release of all prisoners from New York. The only one capable of completing this mission is notorious outlaw and former special forces war hero, Snake Plissken, who agrees to take the mission in exchange for his life and a full pardon.

 

Action and adventure is high in this post apocalyptic cult classic by legendary film maker John Carpenter. Includes stellar performances by Kurt Russel and Donald Pleasence and a riviting score composed by Carpenter himself. A must see for fans of the post apocalyptic genre.
