If you are looking for a somewhat intellectually stimulating film, this probably will not suffice. However, this film does serve to provide a fun and enjoyable zombie flick, especially for fans of the thrilling "Nacht der Untoten" (Nazi Zombies) game mode of "Call of Duty: World at War". But I digress... The immediate appeal of a zombie movie like this is the location. Being set in Norway, it would only make sense for the movie to be shot in Norwegian. Personally, foreign films shot in English (or later dubbed) makes me squirm - I would much rather read the subtitles every time. The tone remains playful early in the students' snowy expedition, as their personalities are introduced. The appearance of a somewhat transcendental mountain-man foreshadows a dark experience for the way-ward travelers. Action grows exponentially when one of the men decide to leave the secluded cabin in search of his girlfriend who had never arrived. Although the action sequences may seem somewhat cheesy, the ingenuity of the violence keeps one's interest. The zombies in this movie seem to differ from most other films in the way that they seem to be able to intellectually communicate with each other. I guess the Nazi zombies have that little extra "oomph" - they are not just mindless slugs haphazardly staggering towards you. Throughout numerous fights and struggles, both individual and group, the Nazi zombies provide adequate suspense and fairly interesting fight sequences. The climax of this film will almost redeem itself for the less-than-perfect storyline, just do not expect the world from a movie like this. Overall, this is a decent zombie movie that is good for people who like to completely understand a movie the first time around. There are almost no twists or complexities to grasp, which can be good if you are just throwing on a movie to watch with your friends.

Reviewer Rating: Overall I would rate this between 6.5 and 7 out of 10.
