One thousand years in the future the Earth has been colonised by a greedy race of powerful and belligerent aliens. The human population has been forced into slavery while the aliens strip the Earth of all its resources. After years of oppression the human race has descended into a childlike state of obedience and fear. However when one human called Tyler, who grew up free of slavery in an isolated mountain community is captured and sent to the slave camps, he begins a revolt that could ultimately free the Earth of the alien tyranny.

This is a very bad adaptation of a good book. I know that everyone involved in the movie wanted this to work especially Travolta, after years of trying to get the project off the ground. But unfortunately the end product is let down by a poor script, lack of cohesive plot and so much more that it would take too much time to write. I wish I could say something positive about this movie; it’s watchable.

I must say I have never read the book though so that may be why I enjoy this movie more than most, I am not comparing it to a book or any other movie for that matter, just watching it as a standalone story.
But yeah I really enjoy watching Battlefield Earth. Quote
