More details of upcoming Post-Apocalyptic Game ‘The Last Of Us’ are revealed
The Santa Monica based games developer Naughty Dog inc have spent the last two years working on the new post-apocalyptic gaming title, The Last of Us that will have PA gaming enthusiasts in awe at the sheer magnificence and complexity of both the games story and environment, which will see the main characters having to navigate a post-apocalyptic world in order to survive.
New details have emerged about the story, which is set in a future America where most of the population has long since died, the remaining few are either infected by plague and left to die in the outlands or live in the military controlled quarantines which are constantly under threat of outbreaks of infection.
The games protagonist Joel accepts a contract to smuggle 14 year old Elle out of quarantine but his plan goes wrong leaving the two to fend for themselves in the infection filled wastelands, while being hunted down by the military.
The games developers have likened the relationship of the two characters to that of the leads in the movies True Grit and Road to Perdition. And have also stated that unlike many other titles in this genre the combat sequences and enemies will be realistic, saying that, “Enemies won’t just start shooting if you pull out a gun, they might run away and if enemies have buddies; they will back them up and might start shooting you.”
They have also emphasized the fact that the game is all about survival and creating a realistic and immersive post-apocalyptic experience.
