Summary:
When an asteroid passes close to the Earth a deadly meteor storm begins raining down on San Francisco. As the city begins an evacuation led by city official (Michael Trucco,) scientist (Kari Matchett) tries to solve the mystery behind the meteors apparent attraction to the city. As she investigates further she discovers that beneath the city’s surface are leftovers from a previous meteor strike that are creating a magnetic pull upon the meteors orbiting in space. As the city is being destroyed around her she finds herself in a race against time as an even bigger problem emerges, the asteroid is now also being pulled towards Earth. With limited time and resources available she tries to find a way to stop the asteroid hitting the planet and causing an extinction level event.
There’s no trailer available for this at the moment but as soon as I get my virtual hands on one I’ll post it up.
UPDATE: A sneak preview trailer can be found here
Also note that SyFys page here states January 16th but I can confirm that it will in fact air on the 30th.
