Legion is coming….to TV

It’s been announced that Syfy is developing a series version of the 2010 film Legion. The films director/co-writer Scott Stewart is set to direct and produce the TV adaptation, which will be written by Vaun Wilmott (Sons Of Anarchy).

The movie version, produced by Bold Films, chronicled mankinds battle for survival against a legion of angels sent by Him upstairs to bring on the Apocalypse. However a few survivors get an unlikely ally in the form of Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany), who disobeys Gods order and decides to help them which ends up in an epic battle for survival. If you haven’t seen it take a look at the trailer for the film below:

I think its a great idea and there is a lot more play in the story, my only worry is who they will cast as the Archangel Michael, as Paul Bettany really played the part well. But we will just have to wait and see.

It’ll be interesting to see how they manage to translate this onto the small screen, I’m looking forward to it but not convinced that the concept will work for TV, unless they’ve completely rewritten the story?
