Laurence Fishburne and Kevin Zegers eye up Canadian Post-Apocalyptic horror ‘The Colony’
The Hollywood actors are currently in final negotiations to star in the Canadian Independent movie The Colony, which will see a group of people struggling to survive the onset of the next ice age. Here’s the official summary,
“Forced underground by the next ice age, a struggling outpost of survivors must fight to preserve humanity against a threat even more savage than nature.”
Both Laurence Fishburne (Matrix, Event Horizon) and Kevin Zegers (Dawn of The Dead) are no strangers to post-apocalyptic themed movies, both starring in some of the most successful PA movies of recent times. Securing the two of them will be a major achievement for the indie filmmakers who have a not too shabby $18 million budget for the project.
The Colony is being produced by Alcina Pictures and will be directed by the movies co-writer Jeff Renfroe (One Point 0,) who is currently keeping the rest of the casting details under wraps.
