Is ‘One Hundred Mornings’ 2010′s big Indie hit?
After reading a few reviews of the Irish post-apocalyptic movie One Hundred Mornings. I can already tell it’s going to be one of them Indie films that comes from nowhere and explodes into the mainstream. With similarities already being drawn to the 1970’s version of the cult series Survivors, the films story has everything that a PA movie fan could want.
Summary:
Set in a future where society has completely broken down, the film follows two couples who are hiding out in a lakeside cabin hoping to survive the crisis. Their only contact with the outside world is a neighbour and a couple of policemen from a local village, who are all that’s left of law enforcement in the area.
The film is directed by Conor Horgan and stars Ciaran McMenamin, Rory Keenan alongside Alex Reid, UK sci-fi fans will know her as the probation worker from the hit series Misfits.
The film is set to get a horde of adoring fans when it debuts at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah in January 2010. So expect much more info, news and reviews to come. Also I’ve hunted around for a trailer or clip from the movie with no luck, but as soon as one becomes available I’ll post it up. However you can check out some stills from the movie below courtesy of the One Hundred Mornings Blog
Edit: The trailer for the movie can be found here: One Hundred Mornings Trailer
