Okay, so I'm not sure if anyone not from Sweden will care, but we're getting our own version of zombie/ fake reality TV show Dead Set. It will be called Den sista dokusåpan, which translates roughly into The last reality TV show and will start airing on March 6th.

Just thought the timing was sort of funny, since Night Work just recommended I watch the original show. Great tip, by the way, Night Work, I've watched the first episode of Dead Set and so far, I quite like it, so thanks! :)

Did you finish watching Dead Set? what did you think of it?

You might not get the in jokes seen as you're not from the UK, as the actual host and previous contestants of the real UK Big Brother took part in it which just made it so much more fun. Is the Swedish version also based on Big Brother?

Finished watching Dead Set today and thought it was definitely worth watching, although I don't doubt you're right; it probably would have been funnier if I'd had some previous experience with the characters to fall back on. Considering how they were portrayed, the actors who were actually playing versions of themselves must not be opposed to viewers having a few laughs at their expense.

The premise for the Swedish version is as follows: During the filming of a new reality TV show, Sweden gets hit with an outbreak that turns everyone into evil, flesheating zombies. The contestants have to try to get to Stockholm (the capital of Sweden), which is the only reportedly safe haven left in a country teeming with hungry dead people.

From what I've read, however, we'll be seeing a drastically changed Stockholm in the series, which leads me to believe it probably won't end very well for anyone who manages to get here. Becase I was born in Stockholm and have lived in or around the city my whole life, I'm taking a perverse amount of pleasure in the expectation of seeing it full of death and zombies and aside from assorted reality TV stars, some of our "real" celebrities will also be in the series. Macabre as it may sound, I'm really looking forward to seeing them chow down on people:).

Haha I'd love to see that happen in my city too, that sounds great! And very similar to the UK version with them using real celebrities and reality TV stars.

You've got me in the mood for watching Dead Set again, it's been awhile :)
