Caprica TV series now due for release in early 2010
Well after having my appetite wet by the excellent pilot for the upcoming apocalyptic SyFy series Caprica, it seems I, along with millions of other expectant fans will now have to wait a little longer as the series will not air till early 2010.
Summary
For those unfamiliar Caprica is a spin-off show and prequel to Battlestar Galactica. Set 58 years earlier the show traces the events that lead to the rise of the Cylons and the eventual cataclysmic destruction of the planet.
Availability: The show will air on SyFy January 22, 9pm (US) and on Space January 22 9 ET/6PT (Canada) and Sky 1 TBA (UK)

Viewing the pilot you can’t help but feel the similarities between the Caprica home world and our own. And I had the uneasy feeling that maybe one day our pride and scientific follies may lead us down a similar path.
If you’ve not seen the pilot yet I won’t spoil it for you, other than to say watch it! For now it’s only available on either DVD or digital download.

I’m looking forward to this too Pat I’ve not seen the pilot yet though! Seems a long time to wait after releasing the pilot don’t you think?
This series is excellent! All the characters have been written with such subtlety that as you watch you realize how much they need each other. Caprica is falling apart thanks to these seemingly random people who all have a position to make a choice that changes the fate of humanity and are completely unaware of it. It’s very pressing to watch and it always leaves me wanting to watch more to see who will make the next misstep.

NOT good this show need not been made i ask why if you are going to make a prequel to BSG you have to make it about all the 12 Colonies this show will no doubt be cancelled.

HEY all i am looking forward to Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome coming up i n 2011 looks the real deal.
