Alien ‘Invasion’ movie to be produced by Eli Roth & Eric Newman
Eli Roth (pictured right) and Eric Newman the producers of Children of Men and Hostel are working together to develop Ben Magid’s script Invasion for the big screen. Magid writer of the upcoming movies Pan and Hack/Slash sold the script to Summit Entertainment for a reported six figure sum. The Cloverfield styled movie will concentrate on the impact of an alien invasion on Los Angeles.

Full Summary:
A group of commuters on an L.A. subway barely escape death when violent tremors send their train hurtling off its tacks. Dazed and confused they try to find a way to reach the surface fearing that an earthquake may have caused the destruction. However when they eventually get to the end of their trek through the tunnels, they discover something far worse. L.A. has been reduced to a near pile of smouldering rubble; ash falling like snow covers everything, reducing visibility to only a few feet. Their first encounter with other survivors is them screaming and running away from something. But strange lights piercing through the clouds of dust and clicking noises is the only evidence of sum strange force above them. The group try to hide in a building only to discover that there’s no water anywhere, cans, taps even toilets are strangely void of any liquid. They also find that underneath the streets thick layer of dust are teeth and fragments of bone. With proof of the Aliens destructive power all around them they make a desperate bid to escape from the city.
