DiCaprio’s Akira Remake
A live action remake of Akira, one of the best; some would say THE best Manga / Anime movie ever made is in the works.
That’s shocking news enough for some but when told that the producer in charge of such a brave venture is non other than Leonardo DiCaprio shock turns to disbelief.

He is however a huge fan of the original and although this will be his first major project working behind the camera, he has pledged to do the original justice. He has already come under attack from all camps. Critic’s fear an all American Hollywood remake, of what is considered to be a legendary piece of art in the Manga and film industry in Japan and around the world.
